Summary

Efficiently & properly execute in-bound customer & salesperson calls, keying orders, providing pricing information, order delivery information and any unique scenario defined by the call. Provide special attention to the detail required by some high profile/high volume accounts/customers in the manner and at the level of service those accounts require & expect.

Essential Functions

1. Key customer orders into SAP

2. Confidently call upon account contacts & discuss sales history and promotional items or new items featured at Glazers.

3. Provide essential information to all customers, including sales history, delivery information, pricing information, permit information and collection or open balance inquiries.

4. Update customer master with revised information

5. Ensure the consistent entry of data for multiple location customers.

6. Review daily the Open/Held Order Listing and take the appropriate action on those orders that require action.

7. Obtain the proper approval for the release of Held Items to customers ordering.

8. Monitor the Customer Service generic inbox and take the appropriate action on email requests

9. Mail New Customer Packets to customers as they inquire or as we determine they are opening (through the public announcements in the newspaper)

10. Communicate with delivery drivers and monitor through Roadnet Information Center where delivery drivers are in relation to a customer who may be inquiring about their delivery

11. Establish new customer accounts, as needed or requested

12. Act as the primary back-up to the main switchboard/reception area, and all the duties defined by that position

13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Key skills and competencies

SAP experience or other windows-based software applications

Strong beginner level user of Microsoft Office, specifically Powerpoint, Excel & Word

Strong Internet navigation skills & understanding, and the use of internet based programs & processes

Ability to make independent decisions in a fast paced, hectic environment.

Ability to remain calm with unhappy customers, and to calm the customer as well

Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree, or comparable work experience (2-5 years) in a customer service/call center environment

Beverage industry experience strongly preferred

Possess the ability to effectively communicate at any level of authority
