Responsibilities

MISSION:

Makes regular sales calls, selling Hot Tapping & Plugging services. Calls on customers in an assigned territory, while operating within a specified budget.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Implements approved sales and marketing strategies for the entire line of TDW products/services with concentrated efforts to improve sales of assigned products to key/target accounts in order to meet Annual Bookings Forecast objectives.
  • Monitors competitive activity within assigned territory and reports to Regional Manager to contribute to the overall monitoring of the WHR.
  • Makes sales calls and promotes TDW products/services by demonstration and instruction in their use, while answering questions about their capabilities and uses; keeps Regional Manager aware of status of key/target accounts by way of written call reports.
  • Initiates customer inquiries, quotes prices, and delivery policy within established limits, in a prompt, accurate manner.
  • Services the customer accounts as to complaints, repair, new product testing, and special problems which require a company representative ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Prepares all required reports (Annual Bookings Forecast, Quarterly Bookings Forecasts, Five Year Forecast, Key/Target Account Sheets, Market Fact Sheets, Won-Lost Reports) and records (customer call book, weekly travel itinerary, competitive information) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Recommends an operating budget that is sufficient to allow coverage of assigned territory and works within those approved guidelines.
  • Attends and participates in sales meetings, training programs, conventions and trade shows as directed by the Regional Manager.
  • Recommends resources needed to accomplish the sales goals established for the assigned territory
  • Reports to Regional Manager. Consults with Regional Manager on important and involved sales problems that may need engineering advice or instructions from the Product/Service Managers. Works closely with Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing departments.

 

MAGNITUDE

  • Generally expected to achieve annual sales volume of $1,000,000 or more.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • College degree in business administration or marketing or previous sales experience with a good mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous pipeline services sales background, required.
  • Good human relations skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
