Regional Business Development Manager at Baton Rouge

Job Description

 

 

This position will be responsible for promoting Dekoron Wire & Cable brand among end users in Gulf Coast, with a focus in Louisiana state. A self-driven person in this role will meet with end users in oil and gas, petro-chem, refining and chemical process industry and nurture business growth and new product development for Dekoron Wire & Cable. 

Specific Duties

  • Establish relationships with existing end users by working closely with their technical and procurement teams. 
  • Understand opportunities for new products, challenges with existing cable products and demonstrate capability to propose solutions.
  • Work with plant product development team to develop solutions and products.
  • Take an active role in marketing activities (brochures, trade shows, updating webpages etc).
  • Work closely with regional and inside sales group in understanding customer issues and to achieve monthly sales and profitability goals.
  • Maintain a healthy “funnel" of new products ideas and take an assertive role in driving new product development activities in the plant.
  • Savvy with customers and able to manage out-of-town travels without support. Expect 50% out-of-town travel.

 

 

Job Requirements

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Marketing and the ability to understand and promote technical products. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience developing and selling products into the general areas of: oil and gas, pertrochemical, chemical processing and shale hydrocarbon extraction. Strong interpersonal and communcation skills are required.
