The IBM Services Center: Baton Rouge will provide IBMs clients in the United States with services that address the increasing demand for flexible software services to keep up with Big Data, cloud and mobile requirements that they are facing. As an employee of the IBM Services Center: Baton Rouge, you will deliver technology services including application development, application management and system integration to some of the nations top organizations.

IBM is seeking Technical Delivery Managers / Sr. Project Managers in the Louisiana area interested in working next to some of the best IT professionals in the industry. We are seeking Technical Delivery Managers with experience in managing employee project teams and client interface in a complex systems integration environment. Candidate should have excellent communication skills. The role requires the ability to leverage technical business and financial skills in a virtual team environment. Candidate will be managing and overseeing business and technical areas to achieve on-time on-spec project completions. Hands-on experience in analysis of technical issues and/or prior development experience is required. Candidate must be experienced in Human Resources and HR processes. This role is responsible for managing a team of up to 30 direct reports. Manager is responsible for individual and team productivity and accountability for meeting deliverables. Also the Delivery Manager is responsible for the program status reporting, communicating on a regular basis with client management issues, mitigation and personnel matters affecting delivery. Applicants should also be specialists who primarily apply their technical and functional skills in an internal or external customer billable services, and implementation, environment.

Candidate must have the ability to work in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.

Successful candidates for these positions will work onsite at the IBM Services Center: Baton Rouge. No remote opportunities exist.

Required

• Bachelors Degree
• At least 3 years experience in Program or Project Management in Application Development projects ideally in Java, Oracle, SAP and ETL-Informatica
• At least 2 years experience in Line Management Experience - managing up to 30 direct reports onsite and virtually
• At least 2 years experience in Executive Presentation skills
• At least 2 years experience in managing and leading application development projects handling multiple projects at a time.
• Readiness to travel Up to 3 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
• English: Intermediate

Preferred

• At least 10 years experience in Program or Project Management in Application Development projects ideally in Java, Oracle, SAP and ETL-Informatica
• At least 10 years experience in Line Management Experience - managing up to 30 direct reports onsite and virtually
• At least 10 years experience in Executive Presentation skills
• At least 10 years experience in managing and leading application development projects handling multiple projects at a time.
• Certified in PMP
• English : Fluent

Note Regarding Travel: The IBM Services Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from Baton Rouge, LA. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site and could be several months up front (Monday thru Friday).
