Completion Services is currently seeking Field Engineers to join our Lafayette, LA team!
Summary
The Field Engineers will help support our Pressure Pumping and Cement Operations on offshore rigs and frac boat projects. This individual will work up to 3 weeks offshore on projects and is expected to have 1 week of time off but could work extended projects and hours as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for computer modeling, recommendations, preparation and down-hole knowledge.
- Focuses on all service lines. Balances customer needs, engineering, and quality control.
- Assists with the engineering efforts of the district.
- Coordinates the efforts of fluid technicians and operations personnel in all aspects of engineering at the yard and on job location.
- Evaluates laboratory tests and information to ensure proper products and systems are being utilized on all treatments.
- Conducts on-location job quality and safety inspections.
- Interface with customers on a routine basis.
- Assists in training employees in proper use of chemicals, new products, and services.
- Participate in technical society (SPE, API, etc.) functions, study groups, etc.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours and weeks on offshore projects. This position is based onshore in Lafayette but will travel to job sites offshore and to corporate centers for applicable training and counsel.
- Good verbal and written communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Building and maintaining positive customer relationships, internal or external.
- Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Determining necessary resources, time and materials of a project.
- Planning and track project timelines.
Education:
- It is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (Petroleum Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, and Electrical is preferred).
