Job Description

Our client, a new health insurance plan in New Orleans, is seeking a Vice President of Network Development and Provider Relations. The VP will create and implement strategies which ensure that provider development, partnership development and outcomes management goals are met consistently, and will efficiently deliver healthcare products which meet network access standards as well as company financial objectives.

The VP will oversee all aspects of provider networks for the health plan, including overall network development, contracting, credentialing, and provider relations. Ultimately, the VP will be responsible for ensuring that plan members have access to a comprehensive, high quality network of physicians, facilities and treatment services.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree (graduate degree preferred), and ten years of progressively responsible network development/provider relations management experience with a health insurer. The ability to function effectively in a hands-on, start-up environment is essential.
