Our client has openings for recent graduates or experienced Electrical Engineers. These are direct opportunities in Monroe, LA. Our client is willing to relocate the right candidate for the position. They provide engineering services to Paper Mills, Chemical Companies, Pipeline Compressor Stations, etc. usually within 200 miles of Monroe.
Responsibilities and growth prospects for the Electrical Engineer include:
Select correct instruments for process control systems.
Design Elementary and Wiring diagrams to show the connections between motors and starters and a variety of control computer systems
Design industrial medium voltage power transmission systems
Design loop sheets to show the connection of instruments to control systems.
Design Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to show the interaction of control instrumentation with the systems to be controlled
Design process interlocks and control strategies. Program those strategies in various industrial control computer systems.
Perform relay coordination and arc flash studies.
Education and experience required for the Electrical Engineer include:
For recent graduates, we are looking for a candidate with a well-rounded education in the physical sciences and engineering, has an aptitude for computer interfacing and programming, and is interested in working not only in their primary degree discipline but also will enjoy the opportunity to work with different systems outside their primary discipline. An overall GPA of 3.1 or better is required.
OR
For experienced engineers/designers we are looking for a candidate with hands-on detailed design experience in industrial instrumentation, industrial electrical systems, and process control design and configuration.
- Good communication skills and an aggressive work ethic
- Strong aptitude for development of logic and programs
- Ability to understand basic physics and chemical processes
- Ability to travel if necessary
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam or plan to take the exam at the next available offering. For experienced engineers, professional registration is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of basic AC and DC circuits
